Providing Football Officials To:

FCAPPS

TO
WEST CENTRAL FLORIDA’S PREMIER OFFICIATING ASSOCIATION!
The Southern Independent
Conference Officials Alliance, Inc. (SICOA), is a non-profit
organization established to assign its members as officials
and promote the game of football at the recreation, middle
school, high school, collegiate and minor league levels throughout
the Tampa Bay area and state wide. Our roster of officials
exceeds 140 with fourteen full time crews. We welcome annually
brand new applicants as well as transfer officials who have
either moved into the area or have joined us by referral.
Although our members receive a fee for their services, our
main function is the training of football officials in the
implementation of the mechanics and rules of the game as set
forth by the governing bodies, including the National Federation
of State High School Associations (NFHS)
and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). SICOA
is a proud sanctioned member of the Florida High School Athletic
Association (FHSAA), headquartered
in Gainesville, Florida and both the NCAA
and NAIA.
SICOA Officials
and Clock Operators Wanted
SICOA is continually seeking new members to join our organization.
We seek individuals, male or female, who have reached
the age of 15 and have a desire to be a part of the most exciting
and popular scholastic game in America. This participation
can be in the form of on-field officials or electric clock
operators. Experience is NOT a requirement. We have a highly
successful training program that covers every aspect of the
game of football. If you have the time to commit, we have
the resources to teach and develop you as a football official.
Training information and application forms are available on
this website To get immediate consideration, click on the

"A
DEVILISH WAY TO WIN"
One day the devil called up St. Peter and
challenged him to a football game.
"Okay," St. Peter said, "But you know
we have all the great players and coaches up here in Heaven."
"You'll lose anyway," the devil said.
"Don't be foolish," St. Peter replied. "We're
sure to win. Why we have Jim Thorpe, Pop Warner, Vince Lombardi,
Lyle Alzado, Johnny Unitas, Walter Payton, and Knute
Rockne.
"I know," the devil interrupted, "But
we have all the referees!" |
