This page is for school athletic directors, principals, conference officers, coaches and league officials use only. It is designed to give you an overview of the advantages of securing SICOA as your supplier of officials for your youth, recreation, interscholastic, minor league and collegiate needs.

The Southern Independent Conference Officials Association is entering our fifteenth year as a viable and dependable supplier of game officials working football. The officiating staff combined is over 130 officials and is comprised of people dedicated to not only superior work on the field, but they continue their education both in the off-season and during the sports actual playing dates. For example, our football staff starts preparing for the fall season in May with meetings and four weeks of classroom and field training. They must take a 100 question examination with a satisfactory passing grade. All officials are evaluated all season long. This keeps their game at it's very highest, and gives them the opportunity for selection into post season playoffs and championships.

All SICOA officials are fully insured. They also go through an annual national criminal background check. Our staff are required to sign independent contractor agreements assuring them the opportunity to officiate as much as possible in order to gain valuable on the field and classroom experience.

Our Supervisor of Officials has thirty years of experience at all levels including over twenty years as a supervisor and coordinator of officials. One thing that separates us from other associations is that our Supervisor of Officials is not primarily assigned to any games. This makes him available to athletic directors, head coaches and conference administrators all day and night during the season to respond to any concerns and act immediately as warranted. Our Supervisor of Officials has received accolades for his assignment policies, swift action to concerns and immediate attention to issues pertaining to the management of games serviced by SICOA.

Our Interscholastic Tier:

SICOA is a proud sanctioned football member with the Florida High School Athletic Association, (FHSAA), and a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). We supply officials to colleges; high schools for their middle school, freshman, junior varsity and varsity games as well as middle school and high school flag football. Our Youth Tier:

For youth games, SICOA is one of the largest provider of youth officials in football in the state of Florida. Presently, we book 38 youth parks in three conferences every Saturday in the fall and winter. SICOA has annually been awarded post season bowl games including the National Pop Warner Football Championships at Disney's Wide World of Sports, The National Youth Football Championships at Daytona Beach, The American Invitational Youth Football Championships and the annual Game Day of Champions at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. Weekly detailed bulletins go out to all conferences and an e-mail confirmation listing all games and crews assigned to assure no game is overlooked. In 2011, SICOA will also be servicing the Florida Spring Youth Football League 8 x8 program with 140 teams competing state wide starting in February.

Our Minor League Tier:

SICOA also books both men's and women's minor league football and youth and adult flag football. We service three minor league football conferences, Women's minor league football, two NAIA collegiate programs and other local and statewide conferences and events. We also cover youth and adult flag football leagues and tournaments. SICOA officials are well experienced in NFL, NCAA, FP&R and NFHS rules.

SICOA Provides game officials for minor league football in all Florida county's that participate in the three minor league conferences that we service from Key West to Jacksonville and Tallahassee to Naples.
