The Southern States Football League Officials Association

Welcome to the SSFLOA. This page is dedicated to those interested in becoming members of the 2004 SSFLOA officiating staff.

In 2004, fourteen SSFL franchises will be serviced by the SSFLOA. In addition, subordinate games will be booked through the league office including women's minor league football, law enforcement football and AFA national minor league games. The SSFL is the largest league for minor league football in the southeast United States.

The SSFL rules are strictly NFL rules with minor differences. Seven man field crews and a clock operator are assigned by the Supervisor of Officials. The league will utilize seven full time crews that will work together throughout the season, each with one week off. The league will also secure supplemental officials that will be used on an "as needed" basis and will also be secured as ECO's.

In 2004, the SSFL will play on the weekends. New in 2004, games may be played on Saturday afternoons, Saturday nights and / or Sunday's.

The 2004 schedule starts on January 31st and run's through April 10th. Playoffs will continue throughout May with the 2004 championship, (tentatively scheduled for the Orlando Citrus Bowl.)
